All IITs, All IIMs, many universities, engineering and management colleges have them.And on an average they all have close to 5 companies incubating there. Some are supported by DST, TDB, TIFAC and other government funds. Some incubators are virtual meaning they have no office space. Some are for namesake meaning there is nothing happening there. But most are serious, building solid companies. These places have an exit time frame of 1 to 2 years. You can be there only for the specified time. After that, you have to move out. Stand on your own feet. You could boot strap or get funded or shut down or sell off and exit.

And we have just began. You can see dreams in the eyes of the incubatees and a lot of fire in their bellies.
